Goal

Get working access to your trips on the phone you drive with, and know exactly what to do when the invitation, password, or app access stops working.

Prerequisites

  • The company you drive for has sent you an invitation to their email address for you.
  • You have the phone you will use on the job, with a data connection.
  • You can open the mailbox the invitation was sent to.

Steps

  1. Open the invitation email and select its link. The link is tied to your email address.
  2. Enter your full name, create a password of at least 12 characters, confirm it, and select Accept Invitation & Create Account. If you already have an account with that address, select Sign in instead of creating a second one.
  3. On Android, use the driver portal in your browser or follow the 4fleet installation link shown in the application when available for your device. The app opens the view assigned to your account.
  4. On a computer, you may see a QR code that opens the install page on the phone you drive with.
  5. On iPhone or iPad, use the mobile browser unless 4fleet provides an installation option for your device.
  6. Sign in with your work email and the password you created, or with Continue with Google if that is the account your company set up for you.
  7. If your account uses two-factor authentication, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. If you cannot reach the app, use one of your backup codes.
  8. Check that your name appears in the header and that the Trips view lists Today, Schedule, and Completed.
  9. Open the alerts control in the header and turn on push alerts, so new job offers and assignment changes reach you without opening the app.
  10. Location permission is requested only after you open an assigned trip and explicitly select Share location. Background location can then continue while that driver job is in progress, including when the screen is off. Leaving the Driver view or signing out stops sharing and clears queued locations.

Expected result

The driver view opens on your phone with your own trips only, the trip count for today is visible in the header, and push alerts are enabled on that device.

Troubleshooting

  • You forgot your password: on the sign-in screen select Forgot?, enter your work email, and follow the emailed link. It expires after one hour, and it can land in the spam folder.
  • The invitation says it is invalid or expired: ask the company that invited you to send a new invitation. An old link cannot be reused.
  • A banner says your driver profile is not linked: your sign-in works but it is not connected to a driver record yet. Ask an administrator at the company to connect it, then sign in again.
  • The Google Play option is unavailable: keep using the Android browser for trips, statuses, proof, expenses, and time off. Background location is limited in a browser, so keep the portal open while sharing location and install the app when the store option becomes available.
  • You were signed out unexpectedly: sign in again with the same email. Sessions end after a period of inactivity, and no work is lost.
  • You can sign in but see no trips: nothing has been assigned to you yet, or the work sits on a later date. Check the Schedule tab, then contact the dispatcher.
