Check what setup is still missing
Read the Getting started checklist, tell required items from recommended ones, fix or skip each row, and finish setup.

Goal
See which setup items are still open, which of them are required to go live, and clear or skip them until the checklist is finished.
Prerequisites
- Your role can view settings. Roles without that access do not see the checklist at all.
- To fix a row you also need permission to edit settings, which owners and administrators have by default.
- Setup is not finished yet. After you finish it, the checklist and the Getting started sidebar entry are removed for good.
Steps
- Open the dashboard and find the Getting started card. If it shows as a slim bar that reads Almost ready to go live, select the bar to open the full list. The Getting started entry in the sidebar also opens it and shows how many items are done.
- Read the counter and the percentage next to the title. Items that are done, skipped or acknowledged all count as done.
- Look under Required to go live. These rows must be clear before you can finish setup. An open row shows a message that says what is missing.
- Select Set up on a row. It opens the setting that fixes that item. Make the change and return to the dashboard. The row ticks itself once the data is in place.
- Look under Recommended. For an item you do not need, select Skip if the row offers it. It then counts as done. Select Undo to bring it back. If a list is long, select Show all to see the rest.
- For the same state grouped by settings section, open Settings > Setup & status > Overview. Each open item there is marked Required or Recommended, and selecting it opens the exact setting.
- When no required row is open and outbound email works, select Finish setup at the bottom of the card. Read the dialog Finish setup? and select Finish setup again to confirm. To go back instead, select Keep checklist.
What each required row checks
- Company profile: open until the company has a name and an email. A missing phone number or address is only a recommendation.
- Region & locale: open until a time zone and a currency are set.
- Base location: open until the operating base has map coordinates.
- Services & pricing: open until there is a service and a rate, either on a vehicle class or on a vehicle.
- Fleet: open until there is at least one vehicle.
- Team & drivers: open if the company has no administrator. With vehicles but no drivers it is a recommendation, because an owner can drive.
- Email integration: open until a mailbox can send. It is shown in amber because quotes, invoices, dispatch requests and invites are not delivered without one.
Expected result
Every row under Required to go live is ticked, the card offers Finish setup, and after you confirm it the checklist disappears from the dashboard and the sidebar.
Troubleshooting
- If Legal & compliance never turns green, that is by design. 4fleet cannot verify compliance, so the row only reaches an acknowledged state, shown with an information icon, once you have declared your GDPR position and set a data retention period. It is a recommendation and never blocks finishing.
- If Finish setup is missing, a required row is still open or no mailbox can send yet. Resolve those rows first.
- If Set up opens a page that does not look like the right one, open the section from the Settings menu instead and look for the setting named in the row.
- If a row stays open after you fixed it, reload the dashboard. The checklist reads the saved state from the server.
- If a missing mailbox is listed under Required to go live on the dashboard but marked Recommended in Settings > Setup & status > Overview, treat it as required. The dashboard card will not offer Finish setup without it.
- If you do not see Skip on a row, the item is a hard blocker or the critical email row. Only items shown as warnings can be skipped.
