Goal
Move through all five wizard steps, know what each one saves, and be able to leave and come back without repeating work.
Prerequisites
- You are signed in as an owner or administrator. Roles that can only view settings see the message Setup changes need an admin, and roles with no access to company setup see Setup is handled by an administrator. Everything else in the app still works for them.
- About 10 minutes, and these details at hand: your base address, one service with its rate, and your outbound email details.
Steps
- Open the setup wizard. A new workspace opens it on its own after sign-up. Otherwise open the dashboard, expand the Getting started card if it is collapsed to a bar (select Review), and select Open setup wizard.
- On Choose your path, read the heading How do you want to start? Select Set up manually to enter your base, first service, real vehicle and business email. Only the company owner can pick Import existing data, which opens the import wizard for clients, vehicles, drivers and bookings.
- On Business base, fill in the company details and select Save and continue. The next article in this series covers each field.
- On Service and vehicle, pick the services you offer, set a minimum fare and an hourly rate, and enter your first vehicle. Select Save and continue.
- On Business email, select Connect email and follow the dialog, or select Continue with draft only to skip it for now. With no mailbox, quotes are generated and previewed but not delivered.
- On First enquiry, create a test enquiry if you want to practice, or leave this step alone.
- Select Finish setup. The wizard then shows Your operating workspace is ready.
- To stop earlier, select Save and exit at the bottom of the page. It returns you to the dashboard. Each step saves when you select its Save and continue button, and the email step records your place when you continue past it.
- To resume, open the wizard again. It opens on the step after the last one saved and shows Picking up where you left off with what is saved, what is still to do, and how many setup issues will block Finish setup.
Expected result
All five steps are done, Finish setup has been accepted, and the Getting started checklist disappears from the dashboard. The final screen offers links to invite your team, brand your quote and invoice emails, review your price lists and create your first live booking. Only the links your role is allowed to use are shown.
Troubleshooting
- If a step says a field was rejected, check the highlighted field and try again. Nothing was saved for that step.
- If the wizard says your session is not attached to a company yet, sign out and sign back in. If it repeats, your invitation may not have finished.
- If Finish setup is greyed out, a list headed Before you can finish setup names what is missing. Select Fix this next to each item.
- If the wizard says the server is still updating after you save the service step, wait a moment and try again. No pricing data was changed.
- If you are not the owner and the import option is greyed out, ask the owner to run the import, or use Set up manually.
