Goal
Move to another plan, update how you pay, or cancel the subscription and bring it back before it ends.
Prerequisites
- You are an Owner or Admin. Other roles see "You do not have access to billing".
- For a change of plan, you know what you need: the plans are Solo, Starter, Operations and Scale.
Steps
- Open Settings > Plan & billing > Subscription. Current Plan shows your plan, the price and the renewal date.
- To compare plans, open the Plans tab. Choose Monthly or Annual at the top, then read the cards under Available Plans.
- On the plan you want, select Upgrade if it is a higher plan, or Change Plan if it is a lower one.
- If you are on a trial or have no paid subscription yet, you go on to a Stripe payment page. Enter your payment details there.
- If you already pay for a plan, Confirm plan change opens with a price preview. Read Amount due now, Takes effect and anything listed under Unavailable after this change.
- Select Confirm change. Select Keep current plan to leave things as they are.
- To update the card or see payment methods, select Manage Billing on the Subscription tab. It opens the Stripe billing portal.
- To cancel, select Cancel Subscription, read the message, and select Confirm cancellation. To change your mind, select Keep subscription.
- To undo a cancellation before the period ends, select Resume Subscription.
Expected result
For a plan change, the new plan shows under Current Plan. Upgrades start after the payment succeeds. Lower plans and billing-cycle changes start at renewal, and the page shows the pending change until then. After a cancellation, the page says access ends after the current billing period, and your company data is not deleted.
Troubleshooting
- If Subscription is missing, or you see "You do not have access to billing", your role is not Owner or Admin. Ask the account owner.
- If you see "Billing status unavailable", refresh the page before you change plans or payment details.
- If a lower plan cannot be confirmed because you have more vehicles or team members than it includes, the preview asks you to select fewer resources, then select Update price preview.
- If the page shows a message that Stripe is still processing a change, wait. Controls unlock once Stripe confirms.
- If the trial or subscription has ended, 4fleet shows an error such as TRIAL_EXPIRED or SUBSCRIPTION_REQUIRED. Choose a plan under Plans to continue. Your data stays.
- If you see "Billing data temporarily unavailable", it is a short connection problem with Stripe. Refresh in a moment.
- If you want to see invoices for the subscription itself, open the Billing history tab.
