Goal
Create a first enquiry, see how the wizard counts a first quote or booking, and close setup with Finish setup.
Prerequisites
- You are an owner or administrator and the earlier wizard steps are saved.
- You have a test client name and an email address you own. Do not use a real client's address just to complete setup.
- Optional: a connected mailbox. Without one you can still generate and preview a quote, but it is not delivered.
Steps
- Open the First enquiry step. It shows three tiles: 1. Create enquiry, 2a. Send the first quote and 2b. Or create the first booking. A tile shows a tick once it is done.
- Select Create enquiry. The dialog Create new enquiry opens.
- Fill in the required fields: Client name, Client email, Pickup location, Dropoff location, Date and time, Passengers and Source.
- Select Create enquiry in the dialog. A message reading Enquiry created appears.
- Back in the wizard, select Refresh status if the first tile has not ticked yet.
- If a list headed Before you can finish setup is shown, select Fix this next to each item and resolve it. Finish setup stays disabled while that list is present.
- Select Finish setup. Alternatively, when no list is shown, select Finish setup and open latest enquiry to finish and go straight to the enquiry you created.
- Optional: in the enquiry, generate a quote and send it, or create a booking. Doing either counts as your first quote or booking. The article on turning an enquiry into a quote covers those steps.
Expected result
The wizard closes setup and shows Your operating workspace is ready. The first time the dashboard loads after setup completes, a dialog reading You're all set! may appear with links to the help center and to inviting your team. The Getting started checklist no longer appears on the dashboard.
Troubleshooting
- If the step says you can finish setup without a first quote or booking, that is correct. Only the items under Before you can finish setup block the button. Send a quote or create a booking when a real enquiry arrives.
- If the page says This workspace is already active, quotes or bookings already exist, including imported ones. The tiles are ticked by that earlier work and the exercise is optional.
- If a message says email is not connected, a quote will be generated and previewed but not delivered. Connect a mailbox in the Business email step or in Settings > Communications > Email accounts when you are ready to send.
- If a tile does not tick after you create the enquiry, select Refresh status.
- If Finish setup fails with an error, read the message under the buttons. It names the item the server still counts as blocking.
- If the button reads Open latest enquiry instead of Finish setup and open latest enquiry, the blocking list is still present. Resolve it first.
