Reschedule a booking
Move a single-job booking to a new pickup time, check for conflicts with the same driver and vehicle, and then tell the client.

Goal
Move a booking that has one job to a new date or time, make sure the assigned driver and vehicle are still free, and let the client know.
Prerequisites
- Your role can edit bookings.
- The booking has one job. For a booking with several jobs the Reschedule button is disabled, and you change each job's time with Edit job in the Jobs list instead.
- You know the new pickup date and time in your company's time zone.
- Pickup times only move when a person moves them. A delayed flight is shown on the booking, but it does not change the pickup time.
Steps
- Open the booking from Bookings.
- In the action bar select Reschedule. On a narrow screen, open More booking actions and choose Reschedule there.
- In Reschedule Booking, read Current Pickup Time.
- Under New Pickup Time, set the Date and the Time.
- Wait for the conflict check under the form. It reads No conflicts - safe to reschedule, a tight-timing or caution notice, or Conflict with booking followed by a reference and a time range.
- If the booking is linked to others in a chain, tick I understand this will break the booking chain. Without it, the booking cannot be rescheduled.
- Optional: write a Reason for Rescheduling (optional).
- Select Reschedule. A Booking Rescheduled message confirms it.
- Tell the client. Open the Communications tab and select Notify customer under Booking Change Notice.
Expected result
The booking and its job show the new pickup time, the calendar block moves with it, and the stop times shift by the same amount. The change is recorded on the booking timeline.
Troubleshooting
- If the check reports a conflict, choose another time, or change the driver or vehicle on the Resources tab first and try again.
- If you are an owner or admin and have to keep a conflicting time, choose Override conflict (requires justification) and write the reason. Other roles cannot override a conflict.
- If the dialog offers Send email notification to client, note that the reschedule itself does not send that email. Use Notify customer afterwards, as in the last step.
- If the dialog refuses a time, the time may not exist in your time zone, for example during a spring clock change. Pick a time that exists.
- If you rescheduled by dragging the booking on the Calendar, you confirmed the same change there. The client is not emailed from the Calendar either.
