CBS Dispatch alternative for chauffeur and limo operators
Chauffeur Booking Software (CBS Dispatch) is dispatch software for chauffeur and airport transfer fleets with one monthly plan in euro, a free allowance of own bookings and a partner network whose bookings are free. 4fleet is chauffeur and limo booking software sized by fleet, built around the path from an enquiry email to a quote, a dispatched job and a paid invoice.
Who CBS Dispatch and 4fleet are for
CBS describes dispatch software for chauffeur and airport transfer companies, mainly fleets of about five to fifty vehicles; it sends solo drivers and one- or two-car operators to its free partner network instead. One booking list combines the website widget, automatic email import, phone bookings and bookings from Booking.com, Trip.com and Transferz; dispatch ranks drivers and suggests pay per job; own drivers and partner companies sit in one assignment list; a driver app runs on iOS and Android; passengers get a live tracking page, reminders and chat. Reporting shows profit and loss per booking, route, client and driver.
4fleet is for chauffeur, limo, black car and transfer operators from one owner-driver to an office with a dispatch team and partner operators, in 6 interface languages and 44 invoicing currencies, with the subscription priced in euro. It is not a passenger-facing ride app: clients book through the operator's quote, portal and tracking links.
How the two charge
| What | CBS Dispatch | 4fleet |
|---|---|---|
| Charging model | The first twenty own bookings are free, then one monthly plan in euro once you run more than that; network bookings are free without limit or commission. No per-vehicle charge, trip cap or fare percentage. | Four plans by fleet size (Solo, Starter, Operations, Scale) with vehicles and users included per plan and paid extras above that; bookings are not metered. Monthly or annual billing. |
| Trial | No separate trial; the free allowance of own bookings is the entry option. | 14-day trial, no card required, on the plan you pick. |
| Setup fee | A one-off setup fee on the monthly plan; no contract. | None. Founding Operators get a personal setup call included. |
| Card payments | Not mentioned on the pages read. | Stripe, connected to your own account; 4fleet adds no commission on top. |
| Partner work | A partner network where travel agencies and operators find local cars; bookings from the network are free of charge, and partner companies appear in the same assignment list as your own drivers. | Your own invited partner network with tenders, partner portal and statements, plus the GNet integration for farm-in and farm-out. |
| Passenger-facing | Website booking widget, live driver location page, booking links, reminders, driver-arrived messages and live chat; support can be handed to the vendor's own desk. | Public quote page, tracking link and client portal in the browser; no passenger app to install. |
Where the workflows differ
Where the bookings come from
CBS pulls bookings into one list from a website widget, automatic email import, phone and the Booking.com, Trip.com and Transferz marketplaces, and leans on its own partner network for work. 4fleet connects the operator's mailbox and turns each enquiry email into a priced quote on the operator's own rate card, chases it and creates the booking on acceptance; marketplaces are not integrated, and the enquiry is quoted rather than booked instantly. If marketplace volume is your business, CBS matches it; if you quote and win enquiries, 4fleet does.
One plan with a free allowance or plans by fleet size
CBS has one monthly plan that starts once you pass a free allowance of own bookings, with a one-off setup fee and no contract; network bookings never count. 4fleet has four plans sized by vehicles and users with no setup fee and no booking count on any of them. For a fleet near the free allowance CBS is cheap; for a busy office compare the monthly totals.
Dispatch: a ranked assignment or a planned day
CBS ranks drivers and partners for each job with a score and a suggested pay. 4fleet dispatches from a calendar and a dispatch board with the driver's job offers, flights and live tracking, and the assistant flags unassigned jobs each morning for the office to approve. Both reach a covered job; they get there differently.
Invoicing, payments and the client
CBS's pages do not mention invoicing or card payments, and solo operators are directed to its free network rather than the software. 4fleet invoices each booking, takes card payments through the operator's own Stripe account, chases unpaid invoices and gives corporate clients a portal with quotes, trips and invoices. An operator who bills monthly accounts will notice this first.
What CBS has that 4fleet does not
CBS lists an embeddable booking widget, marketplace imports, an iOS driver app and live chat with passengers. 4fleet has none of these today; its driver app is on Android with iOS planned, and its passenger contact runs through the quote page, the tracking link and email. In 4fleet's favour: quotes and invoices in any of 44 currencies and an interface in 6 languages on every plan.
Switching from CBS Dispatch to 4fleet
4fleet imports bookings, clients and vehicles from a CSV or Excel file with a mapping preview, so the data you take out of CBS can be loaded before the first live day. Read the switching page for the preparation steps and the Help article on migrating from another system for the clicks. Run both systems in parallel for one week of real jobs; the trial needs no card.

Frequently asked questions
Does 4fleet have a free tier like CBS?
No. 4fleet has a 14-day trial with no card on the plan you pick, then a paid plan sized by your fleet. CBS keeps the first twenty own bookings a month free and never charges for network bookings; past that, one monthly plan applies.
Can 4fleet import bookings from Booking.com or Transferz?
Not through an integration. Enquiries from any source that sends an email arrive in 4fleet and are parsed into enquiries; marketplace APIs are not connected. CBS lists Booking.com, Trip.com and Transferz imports on its page.
Can I keep a booking widget on my website?
4fleet publishes a quote page the client accepts online and a client portal for repeat bookers, and website-form enquiries arrive as email. A separate embeddable booking widget is not part of 4fleet today; CBS offers one.
Which one invoices my corporate clients?
4fleet invoices each booking, takes card payments through your own Stripe account, chases unpaid invoices and gives corporate clients a portal with quotes, trips and invoices. CBS's pages do not mention invoicing or payments; ask the vendor to show that flow.
Is this comparison independent?
No. We make 4fleet. Every CBS fact on this page comes from the vendor's own pages, read on the date in the data, and nothing is scored. Confirm current terms with the vendor before deciding.
