Goal
Find out which rate a quote will use for every combination of service and vehicle class, and spot the combinations that have no price.
Prerequisites
- Your role can view settings. Managers can read this screen. Following its links to change rates needs owner or administrator access.
- You have at least one active service and one active vehicle class. Without them the table has nothing to show.
Steps
- Open Settings > Services & pricing > Vehicle assignments.
- Read the four counters at the top: Service rate, Class rate card, Vehicle profile and Cannot be quoted. The last one counts combinations that have no rate or a rate in another currency.
- Find the table titled Vehicle-service pricing coverage. Each row is a vehicle class and each column is an active service. The description above it names your company currency.
- Read the status in the cell where your quote problem happens. Service rate means a rate set for that service on the class's vehicles is used. Class rate card means the class's own rate card is used. Vehicle profile means only a vehicle's own rates are available. No rate means nothing can price the combination. Wrong currency means a rate exists but not in your company currency.
- If a cell reads Vehicles in this class have different rates, so the class card is used, the vehicles in that class disagree on the service rate. Align them, or accept the class card.
- For No rate, give the class a rate card. Select Edit rate cards in the box headed The most specific rate wins, or use the Rates button on the vehicle class.
- For Wrong currency, open the class rate card, and any vehicle service rates for that class, and enter the amounts again in your company currency.
- Return to Vehicle assignments and reload. The cell should now show a rate source, and the Cannot be quoted counter should drop.
Expected result
Every combination you sell shows Service rate, Class rate card or Vehicle profile, and Cannot be quoted reads 0.
Troubleshooting
- If the page says Pricing coverage is not available for this workspace yet, the table is not switched on for your workspace. Generate a quote on a test enquiry instead and read its price breakdown.
- If the page says Add an active service and vehicle class to see coverage, add or reactivate a service and a class first.
- If a class or service is missing from the table, it is inactive. Only active ones are listed.
- If a combination reads No rate although you entered rates, check that at least one value on the class rate card is above 0. A card of all zeros counts as no rate.
- If a quote shows 0 for a combination that reads Class rate card, the distance rate on that card is probably 0. Open the card and set the real rates.
