Goal
Connect your company to the GNet network so you can receive jobs from GNet partners and send jobs to them. The connection has a part you do and a part the 4fleet team does.
Prerequisites
- Your role can edit settings.
- Your plan is Starter or above. On a lower plan the GNet tab shows View plans instead of the connection form.
- Your company has a GNet account and you know its GNet ID. If you do not, the form has a Create an account on GNet link that opens the GNet sign-up page.
- At least one client in 4fleet for each GNet requester you will receive jobs from, and at least one vehicle class. See the mapping article.
- 4fleet support has verified that the GNet ID belongs to your company and linked it to your 4fleet company. You cannot do this in the app, and until the link exists saving your GNet ID is refused. 4fleet also holds the GNet credentials, so you never enter a username or password. Everything else below you do yourself.
Steps
- Email 4fleet support with your company name and your GNet ID. The form has a Contact 4fleet support link that starts the email. Wait for support to confirm that your company is linked.
- Open Settings > Integrations > GNet Farm In.
- Select Connect GNet. The Connection section opens.
- Enter your GNet ID in Your company's GNet ID. Leave the credential fields alone: the form says Credentials are managed securely by 4fleet.
- Tick Forward live GPS to GNet after launch approval if you want GNet to receive your driver's position during a job. Leave it off otherwise.
- Select Save connection. The message GNet connection saved confirms it. The badge shows Complete setup until everything below is done.
- Open Booking matching and add at least one requester under Clients and one vehicle type under Vehicle types.
- Back in Connection, select Enable. It stays greyed out while the list Complete these items before enabling GNet is not empty.
Expected result
The badge reads Connected once the connection is enabled, receiving is ready and sending is available. Activity and delivery then shows how many status reports GNet has accepted.
Troubleshooting
- If saving shows "Use your verified company GNet ID. If your company is not linked to 4fleet yet, contact support to arrange verification.", your company is not linked yet. Contact 4fleet support.
- If the badge reads Verification required, the saved ID does not match a company link made by 4fleet. Check the ID you typed with your GNet account.
- If the message Your connection needs attention before both receiving and sending are available appears, check Booking matching and the list of blockers, and ask support if the cause is not there.
- If At least one requester mapping is required or At least one vehicle mapping is required is listed, add them in Booking matching.
- If you see GNet settings could not be loaded, reload the page. No connection state is assumed when the load fails.
