Accept or decline a job from GNet

Goal

Decide whether to take a job that a GNet partner sent you, and handle the changes GNet sends afterwards. Nothing is confirmed with GNet until you decide: automatic acceptance is not available.

Prerequisites

• Your GNet connection is enabled and your requester and vehicle types are mapped.
• Your role can edit bookings.
• The booking has a price above zero. 4fleet fills it in from your rate card for the mapped vehicle class.

Steps

1. Open Bookings and find the booking that came from GNet. Open it and select the GNet tab.
2. Read the Booking from a partner card. It shows Awaiting decision, the Requester reservation, the Requested GNet vehicle, the route with each stop and its time, and Last status sent to GNet, which reads Not sent yet until you decide. If the partner supplied a name sign, Open namesign opens it.
3. Check the route, the price and the vehicle class on the booking against what you can do.
4. To take the job, select Accept request. The message GNet request accepted confirms it. The booking becomes confirmed and GNet is told, with the price.
5. To decline it, select Reject request, type an Optional rejection note for the partner if you want, and select Confirm rejection. The message GNet request rejected confirms it. The booking is cancelled and GNet is told.
6. If GNet later changes the job, the Changes from GNet card appears on the same tab. For each change it shows Now and the value GNet proposes. Select Accept to apply it to the booking or Reject to keep yours. Nothing is applied until you accept. Pickup address, drop-off address and price are decided together.
7. After accepting the job, assign your driver and vehicle as for any other booking.

Expected result

The card shows Accepted or Rejected. After an accepted job, GNet receives the confirmed status and follows your later progress.

Troubleshooting

• If the message asks you to set a price before you accept, the booking has no price, because 4fleet will not confirm a job with GNet at 0.00. Set the price on the booking, or check that the mapped vehicle class has a rate card, then accept again.
• If the message says the request was already decided, reload the page to see the decision.
• If you see GNet intake details could not be loaded. Do not decide until the data is available., reload the page before you decide.
• If the buttons are greyed out, your role cannot edit bookings.
• If a card says Confirmed here, but GNet has not been told yet, the booking was confirmed by hand. Select Accept request so GNet is told.
• If a price change shows hidden values, your role needs reports access to decide it.
• If the same message appears and the card already shows Accepted or Rejected, the job was decided before. A decision cannot be changed from this card.
