Goal
Know what GNet is told as an accepted job moves along, check that each status was delivered, deal with a cancellation GNet asks for, and close the job at the end.
Prerequisites
- The job came from GNet and you have accepted it.
- Your role can edit bookings.
- To send the driver's position, Forward live GPS to GNet after launch approval is ticked in Settings > Integrations > GNet Farm In.
Steps
- Open the booking and select the GNet tab. The GNet delivery timeline card lists each status 4fleet queued for GNet, with its state: Queued, Sending, Delivered or Needs attention.
- Read the order of statuses. GNet receives, in this order and only when it has happened: confirmed with your price when you accept, then assigned when a driver or vehicle is on the job, then acknowledged when the driver accepts, then en route, on location and passenger on board as the driver moves through the job. Each stop adds its own arrival and passenger on board. A no show or cancellation ends the job. Completed follows when the job is completed. These statuses come from the driver's own steps and from your edits, so nothing is sent by hand.
- Look at the line Last status GNet accepted on the timeline. If it says GNet has not accepted any status for this booking yet., nothing has been delivered. If GNet stopped taking updates, the card says it stopped and that nothing more goes out, a cancellation included, until you retry. Select Retry status updates, or Retry delivery on a single entry.
- Watch for held statuses. CONFIRMED is held back until the booking has a client price. Completed and closed wait until you approve the final price when it differs. Approve or reject it in Changes from GNet, or change the job's price.
- If GNet asks to cancel, the booking does not change when the job is already under way, or when you added jobs of your own to it. You get an in-app notification titled "Partner cancellation needs a decision" and the timeline says the cancellation was not applied. Open the booking, decide whether to cancel it yourself, and tell the requester. A cancellation before the job starts, on a booking with only the GNet job, is applied on its own.
- If you cancel a job yourself, 4fleet sends the cancel to GNet only while the job is still only confirmed. After the job is assigned or under way, no cancel is sent, so contact the requester.
- When the job is completed, open the Commercial tab and find the Operational closeout card. Resolve anything listed: a pending driver charge needs Approve billable, Approve internal or Reject, and an open critical incident needs to be dealt with.
- Select Close booking. If blockers remain, the button reads Close with override and asks for an Override reason. The closing status goes to GNet from this card and from nowhere else.
Expected result
The timeline shows each status as Delivered, the booking shows Operationally closed, and GNet has the completed and closed statuses with the final amount.
Troubleshooting
- If an entry shows Needs attention, GNet rejected it several times and stopped. Fix the cause if the message names one, then select Retry delivery or Retry status updates.
- If the final price is not approved, completed and closed stay held. The card says COMPLETE and CLOSE wait until the office approves the final price.
- If you rejected the final price, the card says the status stays held until the job's price (fare) changes. Change the fare, then approve the new amount that comes back.
- If GPS is not reaching GNet, check that the GPS option is ticked, that the job is running with its driver assigned, and that the driver's phone shares its location.
- If Close booking is not offered, the job is not completed yet.
- If a held cancellation is not wanted, leave the booking as it is. Nothing is cancelled until you do it.
