Set up your service catalog

Use the service catalog wizard to choose the services you sell, set their time rules, and name each vehicle class for clients.

Goal

Fill in the whole service catalog in one pass: which services you sell, how many hours each includes, and how each vehicle class is named and supplied.

Prerequisites

  • You are an owner or administrator.
  • The catalog has not been marked as configured yet. The wizard appears on its own until you save it once.
  • You know whether each vehicle class is covered by your own fleet, by partners, or by both.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > Services & pricing > Service setup. The wizard replaces the tab. It is titled Set up your service catalog, or Finish setting up your services if you already have services from the setup wizard.
  2. On the Services step, tick Include for each service you sell. A new workspace is offered seven suggestions, all ticked: Airport Transfer, Point-to-Point, Hourly Hire, Half Day Tour, Full Day Tour, Multi-day Tour and Events & Weddings. A workspace with services shows those services instead.
  3. Edit Service name where a name does not match how you describe the service to clients.
  4. Choose a Family for every ticked service: Transfer - A to B, Hourly - as directed, Day - one day of work or Multi-day - several days. The family tells quotes and documents how the service is timed.
  5. Where it applies, enter Hours included and Minimum hours. Leave them empty for a plain transfer.
  6. Select Continue.
  7. On the Vehicle classes step, edit Name shown to the customer so each class has the name clients should see.
  8. Set Supplied by for each class: Own fleet, Partner or Own fleet or partner.
  9. If you need more classes, select Add from presets and pick from the list.
  10. Select Save catalog.

Expected result

A message reading Service catalog saved appears and the wizard closes. The tab now shows your catalog review, your services and your vehicle classes. Quotes, fleet availability and the documents your clients receive read from this catalog.

Troubleshooting

  • If the page says Select at least one service., tick Include on at least one row with a name.
  • If the page says Every selected service needs a group., open the Family list on each ticked row and choose one.
  • If a yellow box reads These classes cannot be quoted, the classes marked No rate card have no rates, so no price can be calculated for them. Set their rates, or switch the class off until you can price it.
  • If saving fails with Could not save the catalog. Nothing was changed - try again., check for an active service you left unticked that has no family. Give it a family in the services list, or switch it off, then save again.
  • If you select Skip for now, the catalog stays unconfigured and this wizard returns the next time you open the tab.
  • If the wizard shows an error that your catalog could not load, refresh the page and open the tab again.
