Send a job to a GNet partner

Send one unassigned job to another GNet operator, review the reservation before it goes, and follow its status.

Goal

Hand one of your jobs to another GNet operator as a real reservation, and track the operator's answer, driver and vehicle from the booking.

Prerequisites

  • Your GNet connection is saved and enabled. Without it the GNet tab only shows Open integration settings.
  • Your role can edit bookings. Saving the provider account in step 4 also needs permission to edit settings.
  • The job has no driver, vehicle or partner of your own, and it is not yet completed, cancelled or under way. Sending needs an unassigned, open job, so clear any existing assignment first. A booking that itself came from GNet cannot be sent on.
  • You know the other operator's GNet ID and the customer account number you agreed with that operator.
  • The job has a confirmed pickup time and complete addresses. A job with a pickup time still to be confirmed, or with unreviewed stops, is refused.

Steps

  1. Open the booking and select the GNet tab. On a booking with several jobs, pick the one to send in Job.
  2. In the Send to a partner card, select Send to partner. The form opens with details filled in from the job. Pickup time, passenger count and stop order come from the job, so edit the job first if they are wrong.
  3. Under Provider, choose the Provider account.
  4. If the list is empty, open Configure provider account for this customer. Choose Our GNet connection, choose or add the Local partner (Add partner with a Partner name and Partner email), enter the operator's Provider GNet ID and the Agreed account number in provider system, then select Save account mapping.
  5. Under the job fields, check GNet vehicle type and Service.
  6. Under Passengers, enter First name, Last name and Phone number. Select Add passenger for more, up to the passenger count of the job.
  7. Under Stops, check each stop. Choose Address or Airport as the Location type. For an airport, give the Airport IATA code, Airline IATA code and Flight number, which must match the job's flight.
  8. Select Review before sending and read the summary: operator, account, pickup time, passengers, vehicle type, stops and instructions.
  9. Select Send to provider. In the window that follows, read the warning that this sends a real reservation, then select Confirm.

Expected result

The card shows the job status from the operator, the Provider GNet ID, the delivery state, and later the Driver, Vehicle and Provider charges. Select Refresh to read the latest. An acknowledgment that GNet received the reservation is not the operator accepting it.

Troubleshooting

  • If the card says Not sent to GNet yet. after a failed send with a connection error, nothing was created at the operator. Prepare the job and send it again.
  • If it says New submissions are paused, sending is switched off for now. Existing reservations still need watching.
  • If you see "Use an unassigned, open job", remove the driver and vehicle from the job and try again.
  • If you see "Confirm the job pickup time first." or "Review every job stop before sending.", fix the job and send again.
  • If the job changes after sending, the card says This job has changed since the last prepared transmission. Select Prepare update, review it and send with Send update.
  • If you need to cancel, select Request cancellation. The job stays live until the operator accepts, and a refusal needs follow-up with them. Provider charges are for you to review. They are not posted as an expense or taken off the customer's revenue.
