Lesson 6 of 8 · 4 min
Receipts and earnings
Send fuel, toll and parking receipts on the day, follow them until they are paid, and read what you have earned and what has been settled.
Send receipts on the day
Paper receipts get lost in door pockets. Photograph each one the same day, before the end of your shift. Open More, then Receipts, select Take a photo or choose a file, and add what you know: Amount (optional), Category (optional), Job (optional) to link it to one of today's jobs, and Description (optional). Then select Add receipt.
If you leave the amount empty, 4fleet tries to read it from the photo. An amount you type always wins over what was read. When nothing can be read, you are asked to enter the amount and try again, so photograph receipts flat and in good light. Sending the same receipt twice is refused as a duplicate.
You can also add a receipt in the completion form when you finish a job.
Follow each receipt to the end
Under My receipts every receipt shows its state: Awaiting approval, Approved, Paid or Rejected, with the reason when it was rejected. Check the list once a week. A rejected receipt is easier to sort out while you still remember the day.
Read your earnings
Earnings has two parts. Earned, not yet settled shows, per month, what your completed jobs are worth under your pay arrangement and has not yet been put on a settlement. Pick the month with Month. If you are paid a monthly salary, it is shown after the full month ends.
Payouts lists your settlements, grouped as Awaiting approval, Approved and due and Paid. Each shows the number of bookings, the commission and any deductions. The office pays you outside the app and then marks the settlement paid, so Paid means the office recorded the payment.
If a figure looks wrong, or a note asks the office to review your pay rates, talk to the office with the month and the job in front of you.
